Each year we hope to take a crop of hay for the ponies. Each year the field produces about 250 small bales. We need about 150 bales per year for Molly and Rosie and we usually manage to sell the rest.

We usually leave several metres margin to the hay field since we don’t need so much hay. The sheep then come in to munch off what we leave. We think that this is good for all the wildlife there.

The 2014 hay crop was 250 bales all stored in the barn: Molly & Rosie are steadily eating their way through it now.
